Icon, a word often that’s often used but really less deserved these days. It often falls prey to cases of over hyping and bloated expectations, which is unfortunate. To say that a person or an object is iconic, it only means that it should be several notches above the level of the rest in its field. It should really be separated from the pack by a significant and wide margin, and there has to be unanimity in the opinion of those who are in the know. Since it is easy just for anyone to say that an item is great or that it is the best, but when it’s the experts who say it, then we better take their word for it. Or at least we know that their words and opinions should carry a little more weight than ours.
