The Breitling Super Avenger watch is an aviator’s watch. And all Breitling watches are really aviator watches, in fact that was the specialty niche that Breitling has gone into. A still privately held company they are found in Switzerland where most of the finest watchmakers are located and all Breitlling watches are manufactured there to. These are authentic Swiss timepieces.
Because these Breitling watches are made mostly for aviators you’ll notice that they have a huge face. In fact the face on the Breitling Super Avenger is a little over 48 millimeters or almost 2 inches in diameter. So you need a good solid wrist to support and showcase one of these bad boys. As would be expected from a Breitling Super Avenger black steel or any other Breitling for that matter, you can count on all the common chronograph functions such as hours, seconds, date and chronograph. The Breitling Super Avenger diamond bezel is a special edition that includes obviously a diamond encrusted bezel for that extra bling.
However, like all Breitling Super Avengers and most Breitling watches, it includes a self winding fully mechanical movement with a 48 hour reserve. This automatic Swiss movement is renowned for its accuracy and sturdiness under difficult circumstances. The Breitling Super Avenger is 18 millimenters thick, almost 3/4 of an inch and is water resistant to 300 meter or 1000 feet. If you are looking to buy a Breitling Super Avenger you can expect to pay around $4000USD although I have seen a cheap Breitling Super Avenger for about 20% off that price. The Breitling Super Avenger price can of cours go higher depending on the edition that you purchase.
In closing my Breitling Super Avenger review I’d say this is a recommended watch if you like a big dial and thick case. If it’s good enough for John Travolta it is most likely good enough for the rest of us!
