Picking gifts can be a real problem for me. Admittedly, it has never been one of my strengths, as experience has clearly shown me and others who know me well. I always seem to get the wrong gifts for friends and family, although in time they got used to it and just seemingly accepted whatever gifts I happen to come up with for them. What was happening was that I always seemed to buy the item that they least want or something that does not interest them at all. It is a defect of my personality I think, but I just try to make it up by having someone else buy my gifts for me, or at least get some advice about it from people who I trust can help me make the right choice.
In a few weeks time, my sister is going to celebrate her birthday, and I would sure love to give her a nice gift. Now I don’t want to ruin it by giving her something that she wouldn’t appreciate at all. But I have already prepared for that by asking a close friend to help me out and she has actually recommended that I buy a special watch for my sister. I find it to be a pretty nice suggestion, especially since I haven’t given a watch to my sister yet. Well, not that I can recall, anyway.
