I have never been very particular about brands. Never have and never will, most likely. More than the brand or company name that a products carries or is printed upon it, I’m much more concerned about the quality or performance of whatever item I may have bought or acquired. Of course people usually bunch up an item’s brand with its performance, fully expecting that the most well known brands will always come out on top over the ones whose brands are not as known. And it also has to be pointed out that there have been many instances when this is true, when the item that is better known or a more widespread brand beats out the lesser known ones. In my experience though, it has never been an issue with me, although some of the items I do prefer tend to be considered “branded”.
Watches, which are my favorite items to collect, have many excellent brands from all over the globe. My favorites are the ones made by Seiko, indeed one of the worlds biggest and most popular watch makers there is. And I should add that I begin liking the watches made by Seiko not because of the name that it carries, but because of how good the performances of its models have been and continue to do so. When I initially tried it, it was actually recommended by a good friend of mine, and he has only been using Seiko watches for men. As he said, the Seiko watches that he owns are always of excellent quality, with the design and the performance of the timepiece utterly flawless.
